fomo tracks your profit and loss on every position, whether you are still holding or have already sold.

While you are holding a token, the percentage shown on the token page and your profile reflects your total return on that position. This includes the current value of what you still hold and anything you have already sold. It updates constantly as the price moves.

When you sell, your realized PnL is calculated based on what you actually received. If the price moved between the last displayed quote and the on chain execution, the realized return reflects the execution price, not the quoted price. On tokens with lower liquidity or higher volatility, the difference can be larger.

The chart on your profile page is separate. That reflects your total portfolio value (cash balance, all holdings at current market price, and your perps account equity), not the PnL of any single trade. When funds leave your wallet through a withdrawal or transfer the chart adjusts because the value is no longer in your account.

Your cash balance and your token holdings are separate assets. They are added together only in that portfolio value number and graph. Spending cash on a token does not change your other holdings, and a token's price moving does not change your cash.

If every dollar figure on your profile shows as asterisks, you have hidden your balances. In the app, tap the balance at the top of the screen to show it again. On the web app, open the menu under your profile picture and turn off Blur balances. It hides the values on the display only, and your holdings are unchanged.

The PnL figure on your portfolio and profile follows the market and refreshes about once a minute. In a few cases it refreshes hourly instead, so a figure that lags your balance for up to an hour is not a fault.

A position marked "Received from external wallet" holds tokens that were sent to your wallet rather than bought in the app. Its entry price and PnL are estimated from the token's price at the time of the transfer.
