Team tags for token teams

What a team tag is, how a token team applies, what the form requires, what the tag does, and what changes on the team account once it is on.

Written by Klutch

A team tag marks a fomo account as a token's team account. Token teams apply for one through the team tag form, and the application goes straight to review. It is separate from token verification.

How to apply

Fill out the form with your team and token details. Support does not issue, approve, speed up or check on a team tag, so the form is the only place a request goes.

What the tag does

A tagged profile is highlighted and pinned at the top of the token's holder list. Holders of the token receive a notification when the tagged account posts a thesis about it.

What the form asks for

Only official team members of a token are tagged. The application needs:

  • A token that is live with an active community.

  • A real fomo account that represents the project, with a relevant profile picture. A memecoin applies from a token branded account; any other token can apply from a brand account or a team member's personal account.

  • X connected to the fomo account: the project's official X on a brand account, or the member's own X on a personal account, tied to the project's X.

  • Contact information, a connected X or a Telegram, so you can be told what to fix if the application is not approved.

  • The team's supply in the account: 0.5 percent of the token's supply or 50,000 dollars worth, whichever is lower, held across the team's tagged fomo accounts. The tag is not approved until that supply is visible in the fomo account.

How applications are reviewed

Every application is reviewed and approval is at fomo's discretion. A team tag is not an endorsement of the project and not an audit of it, and a tag can be removed if the information given was false or the project breaks fomo's guidelines.

A token that carries security warnings on fomo is not approved for a team tag while those warnings stand, even when the supply requirement is met.

Once the tag is on

The team account's own holding of that token shows a zero value on its own profile, in its total and on its chart. That is how the tag works: the team's own token gains are kept out of leaderboards and profile value. The tokens themselves are untouched in the wallet.

The Claim your team tag row on the token page can still appear to an account that already has the tag. It shows whenever no team holdings are listed, and it does not mean the tag was removed. There is no need to fill out the form again.
