Unauthorized transactions in your wallet

What to do if you see transactions you did not make.

Written by Klutch

The most common cause of unexpected tokens appearing in your wallet without your authorization is an airdropped scam token. Bad actors send these tokens to wallets automatically. They may even look like a similar coin you just bought, that is by design in hopes that you make the mistake and interact with it. They are not real transactions from your account. Do not interact with, sell, or approve any transaction involving tokens you did not buy.

In the uncommon case you see unauthorized transactions such as your funds being transferred without your authorization or tokens being sold without your authorization, stop depositing any additional funds into that wallet immediately.

If your wallet was truly compromised and you see real funds leaving without your authorization, this can only happen if you store your private keys on digital device that was compromised, shared your key with someone, signed a malicious transaction on a phishing site, or interacted with a drainer contract through a third-party site.

fomo is a non-custodial platform. No one at fomo has access to your private keys or the ability to reverse any on-chain transaction. Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be undone by anyone.

If you believe your wallet has been compromised, contact support immediately.
