Your fomo wallet is non-custodial, which means you are the only person who can access it. The private key is what gives that access. Anyone who has your private key has full control of your wallet and every token in it.
Your private key is stored securely in the fomo app. You can view it at Settings, then Account, then Export. You will see your Solana key and your EVM key. Each one controls the wallet on its respective network.
Never share your private key with anyone. No one from fomo will ever ask for it. Never store it on any digital device, take a screenshot of it, or paste it into a website. If someone asks you for your private key, it is a scam.
The most common cases someone may want to export your key is to import it into an external wallet like Phantom (for Solana) or MetaMask (for EVM networks). This can be useful for burning Solana tokens that hold no value, general wallet cleanup, or managing tokens that you transferred in but are not currently supported in the fomo app. When you import your key into an external wallet, you are not creating a new wallet. You are accessing the same wallet through a different app.
