What is fomo

What fomo is and how it works.

Written by Klutch

fomo is a trading app available on iOS, Android, also now available on webapp at fomo.family. You sign up with your Apple ID or Google Account, the app creates two wallets for you (Solana and EVM), and you can start trading in under a minute. No seed phrases, no lengthy verification at signup.

fomo supports cross trading across Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, and Ethereum from a single cash balance. You find a token on Solana and a token on Base and buy both without ever thinking about which network you are on. No bridging, no network switching, no separate balances. fomo handles the routing behind the scenes.

You can deposit with a bank-issued debit card, Apple Pay, or by depositing USDC from another wallet or exchange. Withdrawals via Bank Accounts are (US only) at this time, if you're not located in the US you can withdraw to an external crypto wallet, or a centralized exchange that operates in your region.

Your fomo wallets are non-custodial. That means your private keys belong to you, and only you can access your funds. No one at fomo can move, hold, or touch your tokens. If you ever want to access your wallet outside of fomo, you can export your private keys from Settings at any time.

fomo is also built around transparency. Every trade on the platform shows up in a real-time social feed. You can follow traders, read their theses, and see exactly what they are holding and how they are performing. The leaderboard ranks every trader by actual results, not follower count. Unknown names become known based on what they do, not who they are.
