Every fomo user has a referral link. You can find yours by going to your profile and tapping the gift icon and copy your code there. Your link is fomo.family/r/ followed by your username.
When someone signs up using your referral link, you earn 25% of their trading fees. For EVM tokens (Base, BNB Chain, Monad), you earn on every trade. For Solana tokens, the referred user's first buy does not generate a referral fee, but every trade after that does. Earnings are deposited into your cash balance automatically and there is nothing to claim.
When they arrive depends on the network. Solana earnings pay straight away, inside your referral's own trade. EVM earnings build up first and pay out in batches, usually once or twice a day, so the number can climb for a while before anything reaches your balance. The figure on the rewards screen is everything you have earned since you started, not your current balance and not an amount waiting to be claimed.
The person who signs up with your referral code receives a 10% discount on trading fees, bringing the standard rate from 0.50% down to 0.45% per trade. The discount applies automatically to every trade they make.
A referral code is applied on the signup screen, and there is no field in the app to enter one afterwards. If you signed up through someone's link and no referrer was recorded on your account, contact us from inside the app: open your Profile, then Settings, then Help and Support, and tap the Contact Support button at the bottom, and ask to be attached to that code. A referrer that is already recorded cannot be removed, but it can be changed to a different one if you tell us the username you want it changed to.
